What is Osteopathy? Osteopathy is a practice that is based on the wellbeing of an individual depending on the state of their bones, muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue functioning optimally. Osteopathy is used to prevent, detect, and treat problems through manual physical manipulation. Why did I choose Osteopathy as a profession? I chose to become a practitioner of Osteopathy because I saw fist hand how effective osteopathic manipulative techniques can be in healing and treating the human body. After earning my DPT, I wanted to further my education in my field to learn new techniques so I can better treat my patients. The human body has always fascinated me and since a young age I've always wanted to pursue a career where I could help people.
